Staci Rachelle Balcaen and her husband, Tanner Balcaen, call Cheyenne, Wyoming their home. Their love for the western spirit and cowboy ethics made it an easy decision for them to raise their three

beautiful children, pursue an education, and establish their careers right here in the equality state. Staci graduated with honors and received an M.A. in Communication Management with an emphasis in Adult Learning and Development, a B.A. in Liberal Arts, and an A.A. in Elementary Education. With her academic credentials, she is a special education teacher where she teaches English Language Arts to 9 th -12 th grade students at East High School. She’s also an adjunct instructor for Park University where she teaches communications courses at F.E. Warren Air Force Base to service members. Throughout her ten years of teaching experience, she’s worked diligently to provide a safe and secure classroom environment and was recently recognized for her achievements by being a finalist for 2022 Laramie County School District #1 Teacher of the Year.

Staci’s platform is to protect, enrich, and educate our greatest asset: our children. She is a brand ambassador for the ForMak Organization. This organization helps to improve crosswalk safety systems and update the Wyoming Safe Route to School Program plan. She also believes in getting children involved in enrichment opportunities that benefit the community; therefore, she supports The Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Cheyenne Military Affairs Committee, Zonta International, Toastmasters International, Hispanos Unidos Cheyenne, Project Prom, Sources of Strength, and The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
